At HUG framing + gallery, we believe a frame - like a hug - is a warm embrace for your artwork. It protects and showcases it, while complementing and celebrating what makes it special. Together, the artwork and frame create something that feels right.
We’re a small, Canberra-based business specialising in custom picture framing. With years of combined experience, we can frame just about anything - artworks, objects, memories, and more. We love the variety of work that comes through our doors and enjoy collaborating with our customers to find the perfect solution for each piece.
Supporting Local Artists
We're passionate about supporting local and emerging artists. Our store features a curated selection of cards, prints, and a rotating gallery wall showcasing limited-edition and original artworks from artists across the Canberra region. Exhibitions run for 4–6 weeks, and we welcome artists to get in touch about displaying their work.
Meet the team
With a background in design and a keen eye for detail, Gemma is an art admirer, sweet tooth, and proud mum to Max (her son) and Mario (the family schnauzer puppy).

Yasmin is our in-house artist and photographer. She's passionate about repurposing framing offcuts into unique creations, and she loves all creatures great and small - especially her pet cats and chickens.

A budding artist with a sharp eye for colour, Alicia finds joy in matching matboards and the satisfying sound of cutting through foamcore. She’s also a self-confessed chocolate lover.

Our lead framer, Sean has over 12 years of framing experience. Sean thrives on a framing challenge and brings serious skill to every job. He’s also the resident handyman – and keeps us all laughing with his quick wit and humour!

A framing powerhouse and organising queen, Tas is an all-round animal lover who enjoys horror movies and keeping the studio in perfect order.
